Technology - Creative/Adventure options for 9 year old

Hi, wondered if anyone has any recommendations for any apps or PS4 games that aren't mindless 'shoot em up' style games.

Outside and creativity are obviously the preferred options, but for when we allow them technology it would be great to get some ideas for games / apps that make them use their brains!

Can't beat Minecraft. I do like how when the kids get together they interact with each other and teach each other - either around one tablet or across several in the shared worlds. Maybe a bit old-school these days. But ours don't get too much tech and therefore aren't so blase about it all. (Though be warned, it does lead to watching others playing it on YouTube....but they do learn from it.)
