gebbjane
I need to get to Paddington station on Monday with baby and luggage - does anyone know how accessible Paddington Underground station is, I'm ok if it is just escalators, no steps? Also would Waterloo be the best place to change, is the interchange from Jubilee line to Bakerloo line step free (starting my journey at Forest Hill, on to Jubilee line)? Also considering getting a cab up, could call a black cab but does anyone know any minicab companies that have child car seats (size 0)? chantelle
it's a right pain to get there is all i have to say! from where i am, near Peckham High Street, you can get the 436 bus all the way there. But not sure how you'd link up from Forest Hill (171??). As I recall, there are steps from Jubilee to Bakerloo at Waterloo (in the final furlough). Try the TFL journey planner with the steps free option and also look at any advisories on lifts out of commission because often the reality is different if works are going on. Ruth_Baldock
If you call comcab (black cab company) you can just wheel the baby in buggy into the cab, put the break on and hey presto! Where in forest hill are you? Could get the 176/185 to camberwell green then pick up the 436 to paddington? clux
I go to Paddington once a week and find the journey pretty quick and easy. There are two options - train to London Bridge, then Jubilee to Baker Street, across platform to Bakerloo. Then just one escalator up to the station.Or train to Victoria and on to Circle Line - there are no steps at Paddington, but there are a few to go down at Victoria. People are always very quick to offer to help me with the buggy though.Journey takes about 45 minutes usually.
