Parrot man in Upland Road!

Did anybody else see a man with a large white parrot on his left shoulder (no crutch, no eyepatch, no seaweed in evidence) walking up Upland Road (Crystal Palace Road end) around 1pm today?

We'd only just got to the Actress so it wasn't an effect of the excellent Broadside :))

The best I've ever seen is someone walking their ferret on a collar and lead round Peckham Rye Park.

I saw him a few days ago on the Rye with it on a lead!! It was tied to a bench while the pair of them had a rest and then they wandered off, the parrot on his shoulder. Made me smile!

He is a regular around here. Believe he has even been in the Bishop.

we have met him in the park, he is really friendly and happy to stop and have a chat and let people pet the bird. So cute!

Could well have been as The Actress is not far from Whateley Road. If the man takes the parrot for a walk, of course.

I met this man a few weeks back and as I loooove cockatoos I couldn't resist stopping him for a chat. He's indeed very friendly and so was his bird. Apparently he takes the bird to Peckham Rye all the time as he loves being outdoors. He's had the bird for 20 years I believe, but not since it was a baby so it's a bit older than that. Very sweet :-)

I know the parrot man hes name is peter and the parrot is called chalkie.

You can visit the parrot on sunday afternoons at the Royal british legion 97 barry rd, where he tears up all our beer mats and does some dancing etc.
