As downsouth said a great evening, and such a beautiful night. A balmy walk down to Brockwell Park from the Plough (sponsored by Acurist, the time taken was 19 minutes btw)

The Florence was even big enough to allow some breathing space (I had feared it would be nose-to-nose in there)

We went to Blackheath too! Must have had pyrotechnic fever. This was almost on another level to Brockwell Park in terms of scale - way more than 60,000 attended. Music playing - I think the team behind it must really live for their art. They even manged to play the circle of life by Elton John at one point - cue lots of circular firework displays - genius! That aside it was amazing, the big booms were almost overhead. Did anyone make it to Burbage Road?

    • Many years ago, our neighbours were in a Southwark rented property. Both flats in house had access to a shared garden which was fenced off part way with each flat having their own piece of land. The front garden was shared and since both flats had young children, they put up a fence and gate between front door and pavement. Nothing was said by the council and even though those neighbours are now living else where, the fence and gate still remain and Southwark owns the freehold.
