Hi Jazmine. I am in need of some help for afterschool pickups on varying nights for a while after half term as my husband has a new job and I work late some evenings. Is this something you could help with? We are in nunhead. Let me know if it is somethi g you can do and I can give uoure deets. Thanks v much! Sophie

Hi Jazmine

So sorry for the delay in getting back to you - we have been away so I haven't had time to sit down and write.

Basically it is a bit complicated as my husband is starting a new job and we don't know what hours he is working yet, so we may need more childcare, we may need less.

But in week of Feb 19th I need:

Tue Feb 20th: a 3.30 pick up from primary school (in nunhead - 8 yr old boy), a 4.45pm pick-up from nunhead station (11 year old daughter coming in from secondary school), tea preparing, and possible getting my son ready for athletics, which my husband will hopefully be home for. I expect Andy will be back 6pm-ish - though currently we don't know for certain as he only starts on Monday Feb 19th.

Wed Feb 20th: primary school pick-up 3.30. Give son a snack, ready for his tutor arriving at 4pm. They do an hour's work, during which you can sit quietly and hang out, the pick up my daughter at 4.45 from Nunhead again. Then once tutor has gone at 5ish, frantic tea making and getting daughter ready for gym - she needs to be there for 6.30pm so either you or Andy could drop her, depending whether he is back.

Thu Feb 21st: potentially you might be needed to pick up son from primary school at 5.30ish (he is at after school club) and then get daughter from station at 5.45pm - she comes later on a Thursday. This all depends on whether Andy thinks he will be able to leave on time to get back - he may be in which case we might not need help this day. Friday is a similar scenario.

Then going forward, we may need help on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Weds are more likely as I work late and I am not sure Andy will be able to get back in time to get Eddie for 3.30pm, but this is all something that I will have to leave open for a bit until we see what happens in his first week (I am not working the week of Feb 26th, so we won't need any help then).

So as I said, all a bit uncertain at the moment, and I realise you are probably after something a bit more guaranteed! I was hoping to pay about ?10 an hour. The fact that you have a car would be a huge help!

But anyway, let me know what you think in theory. As I said, I understand if all to vague for you!

All the best

Sophie

    • You might want to try the Peckham Facebook community group. I am located in East Dulwich & have 2 well-used scratchers: A large single post (ideal for an adult cat) & a small cat tree with 2 short posts (ideal for kittens) While the wear & tear is nowhere near as bad as the one shown in the link below, ideally the sisal should be replaced to get the best use out of it (& neutralise the scent of another cat) hence why I haven't donated these to a shelter. You may find this link helpful: https://thegreenmadhouse.com/diy/how-to-repair-your-cat-scratcher But you can just get a brand new one between £10-£30 on Amazon that'll last much longer. It all depends on what type of scratcher you're looking for; material, size, vertical or horizontal. Your little lion will let you know by whether they're currently scratching down or up, like a mat or armchair for example. More than happy to send location & leave in front garden for pickup.
    • Would happily take it off your hands! Preferably in Peckham. Thanks 🙏🏻
    • I understand that, but I can't really grasp how it works in practice, but never mind 😵‍💫
