I may live on the SE15 side of the park but the racket that often wakes me up in the mornings of the dawn chorus means the cats are indeed rubbish and they're not killing enough birds.

When my cat sees a pigeon on the balcony she runs back in the house. Truly embarrassing.

But. If you insist on saving the bird things (and MrPR is a member of the RSPB which is plain wrong) put a collar with a bell on the cat.

I saw a rat (yes a RAT) take down a pigeon the other day... what are the stats on that I wonder...

  I don't, indeed I might assume they had. But the meeting is to discuss local crime and, where appropriate, get advice about countering it. You may also learn if this is common, or increasing, and what steps are being taken to address it. The meetings aren't about reporting crime but discussing local issues. This appears to be a local issue.
