alice32
My daughter has a tummy bug - I had it too, but seem to be over the worst. She's fairly chirpy just quite clingy and obviously doesn't feel great. I fed (breast) her once in the night, after she'd been sick, because she wanted to - probably for comfort - but was sick immediately afterwards. I tried to feed her a bit this morning too at 9ish, but she was sick pretty much straight away. My question is, when should I try and feed her again? She's drinking water and doesn't seem hungry, so I'm happy to leave it as the throwing up is pretty dramatic and unpleasant for her when it happens. Any thoughts much appreciated. Fuschia
When she asks, I would say There is no longer advice to withhold milk But if she's not interested I would take my cue from herX Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/18321-8-month-old-with-sicky-bug/#findComment-453142 Share on other sites
buggie
Having been through similar bug last week, continue offering bf's & rather than water would offer dioralyte (bugglet loved the blackcurrent one!) If nappies are considerably drier (1/2 as many as normal), is especially drowsy or any other worries & would see GP/contact SELDOC/A&E Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/18321-8-month-old-with-sicky-bug/#findComment-453411 Share on other sites
