And so the mocking and scoffing begins. Rome wasn?t built in a day, but I think the Fox is onto something with this pedestrianised idea for LL. Buses could easily be diverted down Crystal Palace Road, and cars down Barry. It?s a simple solution which would create a wider space for the majority of people, less congestion. It would also be a safer environment for residents on side roads. The problem would be solved overnight. Deliveries etc would probably need to be exempt.

Louisa.

Unfortunately Barry Road and CPR residents would have to take one for the team. This would be for the greater good of the wider neighbourhood. Both those roads would probably work better under this new layout anyhow. Barry Road has a lot of speeding vehicles at present, under this scheme no vehicle would have a chance to speed!

Louisa.

I think an outfit for pedestrians like Louisa is required here, one with lights, indicators and a horn attached.

Once she?s flashed her lights and indicated, she?d be within her rights to shout ?Come on mate, you blind or somethin?? and speed past and then stop abruptly in-front of them.

?Yeah, see how you like it!?

    • Hello, I'm from Ireland and would love my children to be able to know the language - I can speak it but I'm not so good at teaching it. If there's anyone local who used to teach Irish at primary school (preferably Connemara Irish) and who'd like to tutor 3 boys aged 7-10 for an hour or two a week please do let me know. Thanks, Sarah
