The Snow predicted for London tomorrow is now expected to be further South/East so Kent will get the brunt of it.

Still very unpredictable so who really knows ??

Used to get really excited about it snowing when I was a kid. from 5 till 55.. lol but not so keen these days.

Foxy

I was at home yesterday and it was lovely looking at the weather - alternating sunshine and snow showers, the light, and the birds (I think we have some migratory large blackbirds and at the moment the wood pigeon is adept to knocking suet pellets out of the feeder).

Got bless our four distinct seasons and don't let Chris Evans (knobhead climate change sceptic) or Brussels take them away.

Actually there is a fair chance of a Maunder Minimum in a few years (2030) so it might appear colder but that doesn't mean climate change (warming) isn't happening - it's just masked until 2050 or so.

The snow is now settling on pavements and the road surface. Can no longer see Canary Wharf, it's been whited out. And as soon as it's started its stopped again with a bit of bluish cloudy sky replacing the previous white sky. The snow just can't make up its mind if it wants to fall or continue to tease us with intermittent showers.

Please don't disrespect a seriously important profession doing a very essential job. It's about probability rather than an exact science, with zillions of different variables. It's one of the main reasons that super computers were developed. Spend some time reading instead of poorly informed comments. www.metoffice.gov.uk/news/in-depth/supercomputers

I just as uppity when people criticise medical professionals, scientist and other experts who have to base their advice on natural systems based on their best interpretation of the evidence "oh they said sugar is bad, then it was fat, then it was salt and now it is alcohol". Trump being one of the main criminals in all of this antiscience rubbish.

In fact this may be pistols as dawn.....

Maybe you should out your window now. It's snowing hard.

It's not the snow it's our infrastructure - god forbid climate change makes this regular. My weather app shows snow later this week but BBC says it might miss London.

Sky showed Croatia - 6 foot of snow :)

Snowing hard? If you can find an inch in what?s settled good luck.

My initial prediction was spot on. Yes we would get snow, no it wouldn?t be much- and it WILL get milder at the end of the week.

Get a grip East Dulwich, the world has not come to an end!

Nope, little sign of warmth Lou

Oh yes - I've been watching https://www.accuweather.com/en/gb/peckham-rye/se15-5/weather-forecast/323476 recently.

It says "snow starting in 7 minutes" "break in snow in 12 minutes" and the only time it got it right I got caught out in it as I was taking it with a pinch of salt.

    • Gosh, free meal for two.. peanuts as in your time.. well, I thought the salad bar was great, unlimited non alcoholic drinks, free bread, butter, etc, god knows at least six dressings for salads, plus oil and vinegar to do yourself.. yup, main courses were not fab but equally better than Mac Donald’s burgers and always had veggies options, plus fish, and chicken.. Gather one sadly around Beulah Hill area has also closed…. Certainly would not have beaten the door down to get there, but equally reasonable price with unlimited salad bar plus various desserts at an affordable price for all… Not a fan of Wetherspoons at all - all chucked in microwave but equally  can’t knock them for prices and certainly booze is cheap compared to Lordship Lane eateries.. So, what do we all think is going to replace the non exsistent pub? Or would like to see?  If Dulwich Estates were not landlords.. I will start — social housing, new health centre, Aldi/Lidl/Iceland…A building that incorporates community areas/ library/ roof top space for planting, rooms let out at affordable prices, let’s go crazy here, along the same theme, opportunity to ask local residents what they would like or, who ever leases it or buys it to have an open day and show to all interested if not a block of flats, plans and suggestions… might a well dream on.. maybe, will be second hand car garage… tent city in containers - least would not be homeless and have your own space, key and lock…

    • I never took to the Thompsons - maybe it was something to do with Richard's hats - but I still listen to 'Solid Air' and 'Five Leaves Left' fairly regularly. It's incredible to see the volume and breadth of stuff he contributed to outside of 'folk-rock'. It'd make a pretty eclectic playlist. Clearly a very talented bloke. Did you ever get close to having him at one of your 'Goose' gigs?
