Can anyone recommend a very good local hairdresser/ salon ?

Have had a couple of dreadful cuts recently so would really appreciate any genuine recommendations.

If you don't mind travelling down to Brixton, try Blue Peacock. Jayne has cut my hair for years, before she even worked there (you might find her on this forum under 'Hairy Jayne'. If it's colour you're after, Jayne only does basic colour work like a tint all over. So I've also had Carlos do highlights for me. I was delighted with the result.

I can highly recommend Stephen who is a mobile hairdresser who comes to your home which I prefer to trying to find the time to go to a salon. He is very experienced and a lovely person and he has cut and/or coloured the whole family's hair for several years. Perfect for busy families as I can get on with dinner while the rest of the family have their hair done.
