Landmark lofts - anyone used them?

Yes we had it built up in Doncaster and it was craned in at end of Jan. If you don't need your ceilings dropped the whole onsite build process should last about 2-3 weeks. The planning, design, surveying and part wall side of things obviously takes a reasonable amount of time. They will employ a local partner to do the prep works and install once delivered and craned in, they have in the main been good but the more modular builds they do the better and faster they are getting. You can see pics and videos of the build on my instagram if you wish to see them @neil.harrod

Thanks so much for that Neil. Will take a look at your pics shortly!

How long did it take from beginning to end?

Did a bit of research yesterday about using them for a more traditional build (that's what we prefer I think.

If you do it that way we were put off by people saying your main contract isn't with Landmark Lofts but with the builders they appoint. Guess in that case you're at the mercy of if the building team is good enough, which seems pretty risky when you're talking about such huge sums of money?

I have no idea how they do traditional builds, I would suggest going to someone else for that probably so you know who you are dealing with.

For us the whole process took about about 6-7 months from first interest to completion. That included waiting for awaiting other quotes, design process, planning permission, awaiting for party wall surveys, price negotiations, build, dropping ceilings, crane lift, make good and snagging. Over all its a lot less painful than a traditional one especially if you are living at the property and have kids. For example we had no roof for just one night as opposed to weeks on a traditional build.
