Up for an omelette

Been wondering if anyone recommends local cafes/restaurants that makes a decent omelette. After going to Paris, I will not eat anything but the best, it is my favourite dish.

Seems like something simple to ask, but surprisingly they seem to have been kicked of the menu from paninnis or whatever.

I know this is a non-thread but thanks anyway

I suppose if you like it the French way you need to ask for the omelette to be "baveuse" literally meaning dribbling.

If you do it yourself do not salt right until the very end of cooking.

Hi lbd,

Salt draws the moisture out from the egg, so if you put it early the end result won't be as unctuous, also cook it at a fairly low temp for best results.

any cafe round here will serve you a slipper - fine but not a french omelette. Do it yourself if you want french style.
