Recommended Posts

***** Early Bird Pricing finishes end of Monday 2nd April 2018 *****

This 8-week, evidence-based course run by [https://www.dulwichmindfulness.co.uk] and taught by a Chartered Psychologist and UK Network Listed Mindfulness Teacher will help you to learn and use mindfulness in your every day life. The focus will be on learning how to ground yourself in the present moment and connect with the stillness and calm that lie beneath the surface of your busy life. The mindfulness practices learned in this course will enable you to understand your reactivity, recognise and step back from negative thinking, relate more whole-heartedly to others and to approach the challenges of life with greater ease and self-compassion. The course is an ideal way to learn a range of mindfulness meditation practices, step-by-step in a supportive environment, or for those who want to reconnect with or refresh their practice.

The maximum number of people in the class will be 12.

Course dates and times

The course will be running in two sections with a break for half-term.

Part 1:

Each class runs on Tuesdays from 6:30pm ? 8:30pm and the course will be running on the following dates:

As an essential part of the learning process, and in order to obtain the best from the course you will also be encouraged to meditate on a daily basis. This, however, is entirely up to you and there will be no pressure to do so.

    • Thanks very much for that.   I think the better informed we are, the better our discussions will be. The article contained: "That arrest had quite an impact on the [phone theft] numbers for the following month,” said Green.  Here's another indicator, admittedly a piece of police PR,  of how well-targeted police efforts, mostly invisible to us,  can when successful  seriously affect offending figures: https://news.met.police.uk/news/met-police-drive-down-theft-and-robbery-by-84-percent-in-battersea-and-nine-elms-500495.
    • Another excellent article from Jim Waterson's London Centric reporting https://www.londoncentric.media/p/kitchen-foil-and-algerian-markets?utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email Interesting that there seem to be favoured and repeated routes for phone snatching for particular thieves.  Seems ED might be one of them ☹️
    • Anywhere near the Overground/Windrush due to its excellent transport links.  You will get larger place in SE23 for example that will give you enough spare cash for private school if that's what you really want but states schools generally good, reflecting the demographic  Easy to get to the bustling streets of East Dulwich but in ten years see what happens to Forest Hill centre.  The whole of the area is full of green spaces.
