Calling all mums to be - booking is open for my next Mothermoon Workshop!

You've got your birthplan, but what about what comes after the birth?

The Mothermoon Workshop is all about preparing and planning for life after birth so you start motherhood feeling prepared and confident.

Drawing on what I know as a postnatal doula, antenatal teacher and mum of two, I'll be sharing what you need to know about how to look after yourself in the days and weeks after birth so you can give yourself the best start to motherhood.

You'll learn all about:

What to expect physically and emotionally in the early days and weeks after giving birth and how to look after yourself.

What's going on with your baby and how to help them adapt to life outside you womb.

What to eat to support your recovery.

What a mothermoon is all about and how to plan your own so that you can be supported to rest and recover and find your confidence as a mother in the early days and weeks after giving birth.

You'll come away from the workshop with a better understanding of all of this and your own postnatal plan. Everyone will also receive a goody bag full of new mum treats and a recipe book filled with delicious easy to make food that will nourish you in those early weeks.

You'll benefit no matter how far along you are in your pregnancy and whether this is your first baby or baby #2 or more and the workshop is complementary to any other antenatal or hynobirthing courses you might be doing too.

    • It didn't occur to me to ask. No idea if dieticians are employed within the NHS. It is just one line of enquiry among others. The GP mentioned it, not me.
    • I thought the most they sell in terms of hot food at londis is like pastries and sausage rolls and for hot drinks its like costa coffee but its always a convenience store. Doesn’t look too bad in my opinion considering that shop has been closed down ever since i moved here
    • Hi Busterb, Yesterday I turned up with a scanner & towels, hoping to take a deceased tabby down to TNV. The body was moved moments before arrival & had not been turned in to any vets, rescues or animal hospitals. I am wondering if this could have been the same cat & if someone just tried to move the tabby further away from the road. Please be warned, viewers discretion is advised. but this is what the deceased tabby looked like: https://www.facebook.com/groups/900015513463302/permalink/3729980853800073/  In any case, if you haven't been able to get someone to scan or take down to a vet, I can scan tomorrow morning.
    • Wholeheartedly recommend Aria. He was polite, responsive and sorted our leak, from an old tap on an old plumbing system, with no bother and on same day.
