April 17th: Low Cost Korean Kimchi Fermentation Workshop

Recommended Posts

Come along to Captured on the Rye in East Dulwich to find out more about Korean Kimchi, a spicy, fermented cabbage that is gaining huge popularity in the U.K. Because Kimchi is a fermented food, it contains a lot of healthy probiotics, which have been found to improve immunity, control inflammation, and help maintain a healthy digestive system.

You will make enough kimchi to fill a 1-litre Kilner jar to take home and ferment in this low-cost workshop.

This event is for participants aged 18+.

It talks to the couple who ran SNARL, and provides something of their account of how the project began, developed and ended, and the effect it had on their lives then and subsequently.   https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m002j5nr

    • Hi all, it’s been a while since I last posted so I thought I’d provide a quick update on what we now can offer. Alongside the usual bespoke joinery (wardrobes, bookcases, alcove units etc), I’m now also working with a wider range of veneered boards (ash, maple, walnut, etc.) as well as fluted/reeded panels for anyone after a more textured, high-end finish. I’ve also been adding more lighting options to my fitted furniture – warm white LED strips with sensors or remote controls, ideal for wardrobes and bookcases. They make a huge difference once fitted and really elevate a space. If you’re planning a project and would like to explore these options, please feel free to get in touch.
