NEEDED: After-school childcare Dulwich/Forest Hill

Recommended Posts

We are a Spanish-English family with three boys looking for a Spanish speaking person to help with after school childcare. The job is essentially collecting 1 or 2 children from school and taking them back to the house (bus stops outside the house), overseeing homework (the children do this independently), playtime, dinner and bath/bed.

Days required:

Monday 5pm - 7/7.30pm

Tuesday 5pm - 7pm

Wednesday 4.30pm - 7pm

Friday 4.30pm - 7.30pm

Occasional babysitting if possible.

We are looking for someone who loves children and is experienced, reliable and easy going as well as energetic. The candidate will be proactive, able effectively communicate and engage with the children and capable of keeping up with active boys.

We have a Great Dane dog so the candidate must like dogs too. You would not need to look after the dog.

Essential requirements:

- very good Spanish (and good English)

- non-smoker

- significant childcare experience

- local candidate (living within 2 miles of Forest Hill)

- interest in outdoor and indoor activities

- excellent references

- CRB checks

Not essential but helpful:

- a driving licence and driving experience in a city

- first aid training

We will require recent checkable references so please provide details.

We look forward to hearing from you.

    • Anyone can deliver for Evri - my daughter having just passed her driving test tried Evri to make some money - they basically give you a route and as many parcels as they think you can cope with - you make money for each one you deliver, so you can imagine - speed is the priority. Why would they wait for you to answer the door when they can just throw it and take a photo? If you have a choice, choose a different courier service or shop elsewhere where they do.
    • Boil - it’s the customer’s fault, not the delivery person’s.
    • A bit of a long shot but I'm on the lookout for a portable pop-up counter or podium.   The kind you often see on a high street, used by charities or utility companies to advertise their wares.   I've included a photo to give you the idea. I'm a peckham-based artist and am looking for one for a free (and non-profit) community art project.  It can be in any workable condition and can already have signage on it as we will remove and redecorate ourselves.    Thanks in advance, Linzie
    • No I absolutely did not - that much is clear. Have you read the latest stories about Unite, Len and the hotel in Birmingham? The UK electorate were smart enough to reject a far-left party in 2019, let's hope they are smart enough to reject a far-right party at the next election too. If not we are all doomed.
