You are supposed to fill them with things and hand them back buster. Do I? Never, I throwthem in the bin as I already donate more than enough to my various charities and always manage to recycle my old clobber to those more in need.

ahem... u could just put them back out on the advised day (empty if you choose to) for that charity to pick up and use again in the future.

Thanks KK but I'm not organised enough to spend the time working out when to put which empty bag out. As for you Frankie, I could throw them in the bin but I'd rather recycle if possible. Thanks for filling me in on what they are for too. Are you ED's answer to Andy Murray?

I use mine to put my rubbish in ,am I bad? Once I made 2 waterproof coats for my dogs out of the bags.

Plastic bags

Plastic carrier bags are not biodegradable and stay buried in landfill sites for hundreds of years.

Try and take reusable bags shopping.

Plastic bags can be reused as bin liners for small bins or you can take them to bag recycling bins in large supermarkets.

Otherwise, put them in your household refuse bin.

so ,if the info is up to date ,and with Southwark you never know ,then I think it's a no to recycling those bags .

You could place one over your head if you are ugly. You could use one to wrap up a present in so it doesnt get wet. You could use one as a flag if you glue it to a stick first. The possibilities are endless.
