Looking for someone to help fix a Canon printer

I have a quite new Canon Pixma printer that has some paper jammed in it, and want to get it fixed as I haven't been able to do it myself.

The two quotes I have received to fix it have been close to the original cost of the printer itself (over ?40) but I really don't want to send it to landfill if I cam find someone to help fix it for less.....

I'd appreciate any recommendations if anyone can help.
