  1. I have 2 tickets to this sold-out gig, but unfortunately , can't go. Tickets are £29.87 each. Tickets were sent as an attachment to an email- I can send them to a buyer on email, or I can meet to hand over paper copies. More information here: https://www.koko.co.uk/events/the-staves Please PM me if you are interested. Hannah
  2. "The Hills of California is the latest collaboration between writer Jez Butterworth and director, Sam Mendes. It is is a strange and enthralling female-centred family saga set in Blackpool, in 1958, and in the swelteringly hot summer of 1976. It’s packed with warmth, hurt and rich texture....." Unfortunately, I am now unable to go to this, so I am selling: Two tickets for 'The Hills of California' at the Harold Pinter Theatre at 7pm on 29th Feb. Stalls tickets (Row S) . Tickets are £47 each (£94 for both) . I paid a booking fee, but will only charge the ticket price if anyone would like them. Please PM me if interested. Hannah
  3. My long-term lodger has sadly moved out recently, and I am looking for a new housemate! It's a lovely bright maisonette flat with a sweet garden, in a quiet, friendly road on the Nunhead side of Peckham Rye Park (just one road away). There is a choice of single or double room (but I will only rent one of them, and the other is a spare room) and there is a shared bathroom, kitchen and large living room. I would like a responsible professional person who is looking for a home rather than anonymous lodgings. Suitable for someone with a budget of around £650-£850, dependent on the room and the person. If you might be interested, please send me a PM and we can arrange a viewing. Hannah
  4. Does anyone have any recommendations for someone who can work with existing wooden sash windows to repair and refurbish them where possible, and replace them where not possible? I am aware that Steve, who has so many excellent recommendations on this site, is very unfortunately, not currently trading......so I am hoping for someone to match up to his high standards, if possible! thank you
  5. FOUND: HSBC debit card belonging to Mr N P White. Please send me a PM if this is yours.
  6. I can highly recommend James, who I just used to transport a shed locally. He has other recommendations here. He has a big Luton van, was really responsive, arrived on/before the agreed time, and was super helpful and friendly. I would absolutely use his services again. Phone: 07904 897508 (James)

  8. Nunhead Dry Cleaners next to Nunhead station - the woman who works there in the front of the Dry Cleaners is an amazing seamstress, does great alterations, and is totally lovely.
  9. I would appreciate any recommendations from people who have experience of good building work recently. I am looking for someone to build a retaining wall in between 2 gardens, with fencing on top. I live near Peckham Rye. thanks very much Hannah
  10. I'd love to have tennis courts in Peckham Rye! I live really close, but have to go to Dulwich park if I want to play.
  11. I'm looking for recommendations for someone to help wit advice on consolidating pensions, loan repayments and investments.Preferably, someone local, if possible. I'd be grateful to hear if anyone has had a particularly good experience with someone. thank you
  12. Can anyone please recommend someone who could help fix an electric hob? I think it is just a simple thermostat issue. thanks very much
  13. Can anyone recommend someone who can pick up a sofa for me from about 50 miles away, and bring it back to SE15? thanks very much
  14. I have got a lovely wooden and leather mid-century sofa........but the wooden frame has been cracked and splintered. I'm either looking for someone who can help do the best possible repairs (on the understanding that it won't probably won't look perfect as the wood has cracked) OR.... If it's not salvageable, I would like to take the leather seat and back and have a whole new frame made for it. Preferably, out of reclaimed wood. Any style ideas welcome. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thank you
  15. Thanks everyone, for the advice. Unfortunately, the battery is not the only problem, but the phone itself cuts out and the mic doesn't work properly. It's a dud. So, I find it impossible to believe that the person who sold it to me in 'excellent' condition did not know that. First terrible experience on EDF , after many happy years together. :-( I am now looking for 180 creative ways (one for each ?1 that I was cheated out of) to repay the compliment.......
  16. This is a request for advice! Although I realise that some people may think it's a stupid question, or that I have been very stupid...... I bought a second-hand iPhone 6 from someone on EDF, hoping/trusting that it would be a safer place to do so than going to eBay or Gumtree. It was advertised 'in excellent condition' and hardly used, but after a very short time, it became clear that it is far from excellent, and basically, has a rubbish battery and cuts out all the time. I work as a freelancer and a phone is so important, and I am feeling pretty ripped off (?180) as well as my work being compromised.... I politely contacted the seller to let them know that it's not working, and asked to return it and get my money back, but they said...no.... Any thoughts about what I can do?!
  17. I have a quite new Canon Pixma printer that has some paper jammed in it, and want to get it fixed as I haven't been able to do it myself. The two quotes I have received to fix it have been close to the original cost of the printer itself (over ?40) but I really don't want to send it to landfill if I cam find someone to help fix it for less..... I'd appreciate any recommendations if anyone can help. thanks
  18. I need to replace some uPVC doors and need some advice to measure, order and fit some new aluminium doors. Can anyone recommend a local person/ company that can help with this? thank you
  19. I have been using Miguel to cut and colour my hair for a couple of years after finding a recommendation on the forum (at that time he had a salon called Miguel Rocks) He is just brilliant- both with colour and cuts, but he also really knows how to listen, and suggest things. He is also very reasonably priced and comes to your house. Bonus! I would totally recommend him. His phone number is: 07821 385256
  20. I'm looking for people to play tennis with in Dulwich Park (early mornings are best for me, but I can be quite flexible on time. I'm female, early 40s. I'm an ok-ish intermediate player. (I like to hit hard, have a reasonably good forehand and backhand, bit of a ropey serve, some good strong rallies, and some wildly inaccurate rubbish every 10th shot. ) I was playing regularly (3 times a week) with Martin in Dulwich Park before he went and bloody moved out of London, and now I have to find someone else. Please PM me if you are interested. thanks! Hannah
  21. I am having a window made where there wasn't one before, and so I am looking to buy some good quality double glazed wooden windows, but am not sure where to start. I need to move quite quickly and don't want to have one custom-made as I am hoping to choose an existing size and create the window gap to fit. Does anyone have any recommendations for good companies to supply/ fit a window? thanks very much
  22. I want to change some PVC french doors for external oak doors, and I am looking for advice on where to source them, and how to arrange measuring and fitting, with a registered door/ window specialist. If anyone has had a good experience with doing this, I'd really appreciate hearing about it. thanks! Hannah
