This cockerel isn't crowing yet either but having qualified in FIRST place Spurs will get an easier draw than Arsenal who finished SECOND in their group. It is entirely possible that we could go further depending on what kind of draw either of us get but I'm quietly confident that Spurs can beat any one of the teams that they may come up against in the next round.

We entertain Chelsea at White Hart Lane on Sunday and I'm feeling pretty confident we can take all three points off them as well. I'm pretty sure the Man Utd and possibly a few of the Arsenal fans on here will want us to win that one too.

I'm actually a little worried that Spurs will go further than us (Arsenal) this year in Europe, but to be honest, I don't really care about Europe this year. It's all about the Prem. As long as either Chelsea or Spurs don't win the bloody thing that is. Then I'd be gutted!

If you can forget for a moment Ashley?s track record, and just for a moment go with him on the ?well I?ve been lucky to pay peanuts for a manager who got us promoted and fairly steady in a turbulent Premiership, but what we really need is an established manager ? someone I can give a proper contract to and to really take this team forward?

If you can do that (and fair play if you can), would Alan Pardew be the name you come up with? If he was an unknow I?d say fair play, give him a chance (but I#?d also be saying stick with Hughton in that case) but his track record (real and alleged) is rubbish. Couple that with the Newcastle atmosphere, and Jah might be an optimist at 6 months

He was ok at West Ham Sean and really impressed at Southampton raher than rubbish - only Charlton was a disaster, he looked to have the potential of a very good manager in my opinion but for whatever reasons, he's not fullfilled that. I'd certainly be scratching my head if I was a Geordie agreed.

    • https://www.letslinkuk.net/ I'm interested to know why the OP didn't find this sort of scheme to work, as I would have thought it was much harder to find someone to do a direct exchange with? Does anybody else have experience of a scheme like this? Happy to be persuaded!
    • I personally think is a great idea Bobbly and would love if there was a section for it. I wouldn't offer free gardening under the "for sale" section as I would expect something in exchange and wouldn't expect our cat being looked after for free under the "wanted" section, as an example.

    • I have fond memories of Govinda's I used to go there  back in the 90's (maybe earlier) for an affordable tasty lunch..I was wondering if its still around. Now I have to make a point of going there. Does anyone else remember a really affordable basement cafe run by the church in a street off of Golden Square? parallel to Regent Street? I also used to love the Vegetarian cafe on Neal Street in the basement (Neal Street Cafe?) and there was an inczredible inexpensive authentic Japanese resturant I use to go to with my Japanese friends (who introduced me to it) tucked away behind Long Acre where that brown brick modern building ('modern' I think it went up in the 90's!) now stands that fronts Long Acre and Neal Street..I think it was called Asakasa or something?
