Otta
No I've never been racially abused, and I never said that because he didn't react, it couldn't have happened. Again with the putting words in my mouth.Zidane was a pro too by the way.I think the only thing that is clear is that UDT doesn't like Liverpool, and so will spout any old shite about them.Like I've said several times, IF there is any evidence of wrongdoing, he should be punished. Until that happens, most sane people won't be convinced of his guilt just because they don't like his club. I've never said I hated Liverpool or any other clubs for that matter. All I did was merely pointed out Liverpool's moral position when it comes to buying players. Zidane acted unprofessionally during the World Cup final game against Italy. Are you seriously saying he acted entirely professionally in the sending off incident? Otta
Er, no.I was just saying that like Evra, he was a pro footballer, in order to demonstrate that even a pro could flare up if abused (I think there was racial stuff said about Zidane and his family). Alan Medic
I wasn't aware any morality existed nowadays in the world of transfers or football for that matter. If a player is important enough to a club they will overlook just about anything so long as it doesn't interfere with his ability to play.Off the top of my head I can remember MU sacking Tommy Doc for having being caught having an affair with the wife of another employee. You could say that was a moral stance. Anyone think of other examples? Undisputedtruth
AM,Glen Hoddle and Terry Venables as England managers. Their sackings were totally unrelated to football. Terry Venables had technically resigned his position but there were question marks about his business interests though. Also, Mutu sacked by Chelsea for taking drugs. I'll be sure to do more research about the allegation. Clearly I'm missing the evidence that proves Suarez guilty. Parkdrive
If memory serves me correctly Patrick Vieira accused Neil Ruddock of racism a few years back, during a rather unpleasant exchange which saw Vieira spitting at "Razor"? Ian Wright also famously accused Peter schmeichel of racism during a typically friendly encounter. Atticus
Razor was certainly stuck in the past, remember him gesturing to a French player (poss Cantona)that he had garlic breath, what a prick! Undisputedtruth
Well it seems Evra have lifted the lid on racism in football as clearly these incidences have been happening for many years. The Paul Davis broken jaw incident was related to racial abuse. Otta
Unfortunately, it is still all too common.Anti semetic chants towards Avram Grant, by his own fans at Chelsea is a particularly insane one. Undisputedtruth
Well in those days you were allowed to do a man's tackle but I've always thought the Paul Davis' incident was related to racial abuse and about his mother. I'll bet Glenn Cockeril kept his mouth shut during the rest of his career.
