Exactly, he'll go there with promises from the owners that he'll have money to spend. He'll spend a load of their money, do okay, get a "bigger" job, get found out, get sacked, and then it'll start again.

Hughes hasn't a brilliant CV if I remember correctly. Don't see why any 'big' club would take him on without a good record elsewhere. It's a bit of a mystery to me why he left Fulham when it wasn't for another job.

Mancini doesn't seem to think so Blue! As for Spurs not having Ade available to play I think is a fault of the loan system. I think loans should only be allowed from the PL to a lower division or abroad. It may discourage clubs from paying overinflated wages to attract players only to ditch them when a better one comes along.

I knew what you meant Mac. Something will happen to fcuk things up. Harry could end up in jail for starters. Spurs will drop points at some stage and so will City and Utd. The form guide for the last 18 games does make nice reading though...Spurs 45 points, City 42 points, Man Utd 39 points. Not sure what Arsenal's stats are for the same period but I reckon they'd be pretty impressive too as they've had a good run since losing to Spurs.

Blinkered you say? Ok lets examine just how blinkered I am. Lets start with Rooneys loyalty. This is the guy that once paraded a T shirt adorned with the words "once a blue always a blue" and moved on to Man U. This is the guy that kisses the club badge then holds the club to ransom after claiming that he has fears over the clubs competitiveness. This is the same guy that has a track record when it comes to using the services of prostitutes. And I'm blinkered. Ironic or what.

That must be a first - Robbie Keane does an interview on joining Villa and omitted to mention that it was his boyhood favourite club and has always had a lifelong ambition to play for them! Must be having a senior moment.

Spurs are in unknown territory, no one knows how they will react to the added pressure of being title contenders.

I think the last unfancied winners of the League were Leeds, and that was in the last season of the old 1st Division.

Still, not being in Europe might work in their favour. I'm happy for them to be in the mix, puts added pressure on Citeh...last nights performance looked very flat.

I think they were both sending off offences...lunging in with both feet off the ground is dangerous intent, regardless whether it results in a clean tackle or ripping the other blokes leg off.

For all you conspiracy theorists out there, Nani was sent off in a match at the Villa a couple of seasons ago for a similar two footed 'tackle' that cleanly won the ball. All we want is consistency, one way or the other.

Mancini was also hypocritical about Rooney's alledged 'waving a card' gesture after the Kompany lunge...in the league game against Liverpool he made a very clear 'waving a card' gesture himself...but that's managers for you :)

I agree it's unknown territory for us. If and I say if we beat City and maybe go top of the league at some point that is when the real pressure starts but we're not there yet. We still have to beat Wolves at home at the weekend and that won't be an easy game. At the moment I'm really enjoying watching my team play some fantastic football and winning games.

Also, Man Utd are usually even better in the second half of the season. They have a few problems at the moment - same as us - but I'm sure they'll be there challenging for the title until the last kick of the season. They have the benefit of experience in doing it many times before. I just hope Spurs can keep up the good work they have started.
