Agree. There is too much emphasis on attack, and not enough credit is given for a good defensive performance. I wish Utd could put one in.

Stats can lie, or perhaps a better description would be mislead. If you looked at the stats for the Barca game in isolation without knowing the score, how many would've predicted such a close scoreline?

I think Celtic will do well to hold onto Wanyama...

...as an aside, happy that I am there's a fair few of us on here, I'm still a bit surprised that the EDF Football Focus has more Irons regulars (EP, Maxxi, Rhinestone, 'bout now and me) than any others (Arsenal gets a bit close)...we must like it down here in bandit country :)

It's where all the nice ladies bints live...


or maybe we just have more bunny* because banging on about the footy is our substitute for winning a trophy (would explain why the last comment in the 'life outside the premiership' thread was back in May... and was about the Irons' promotion!)



*Returns to lounging outside Dagenham Heathway Shopping Centre saying "Cor!" and shaking head at the shocking repointing above the charity shop.

      Marveling at the chutzpah of Brexit supporters wanging on about a 4.99% increase in council tax which equates to circa £94/year for the average Band D, whereas it's conservatively estimated* that Brexit has cost each UK household circa £1k/year.  At least with council tax there are actual tangible benefits e.g. weekly waste clearance.  *Based on BoE report 2023...

      so to summarise, "Party X is stating that Council Y is financially inefficient and saving can be realised or efficiencies made, but when the exercise has been completed, it was found that no savings were achievable". I don't know if you are trying to say that has happened or that if it does happen, that is what would happen.

      I would respectfully and strongly disagree.  they are targeting Southwark in exactly the same way they target other councils and will have exactly the same outcome  you would have to say why Southwark is the outlier here and not reform for it to be a meaningful differentiation
