I take your points about the 'maxxi's and retract my initial query. Not likely to happen anyway. I would argur though that the <75% ers should be shown lower in the table than others who have less points. For e.g El Pibe can not longer reach the magical 75% as there are not enough weeks left. Don't mind me though. I just like rules.

As for the Cup, I still don't get that. If you only have 8 entries and have 8 q/finalists, everyone qualifies and makes the 3rd,4th and 5th rounds of the cup pointless. I know someone will tell me what I've missed.

The only challenge you might have is if those who can't hit the magic 75% lose interest :(

The option's still open to multiply final score (not including maxxis) by percentage of games played, even if it drives Jah wild.

I wish I could play but I know sweet fanny adams about football.

I would need to go back and look at what was exactly said about the 75% rule. I do know that you needed 75% as an incentive to take part in the Cups, but that has since changed.

You have to remember this wasn't plannned, it just sort of evolved. The maxxi only came about because people joined later than others. Next season, if it's retained, the maxxi will be adjusted to take into account average scores over the whole of this season.

Hopefully next season it will be a lot simpler and clearer, especially as everyone will start at the same time.

Actually you're right, if there were only 8 teams the earlier rounds would be dead ducks. I should've said we need at least 9 teams. Luckily we have at least 9 teams, as ???? will be joining in, so at least one person will get eliminated...

Don't worry H, out of curiosity I'm going to apply the Huggy Quotient at the end of the season...although, depending on the outcome, I reserve the right to withhold publication ;-)

I think you'll find most of the British/Asian kids in the East End have got hair just like that.

Their loss our gain. Please let it happen.

I just hope while he's on loan he proves everyone wrong and manages to change his name from "Oh-no-he's-bringing-on-bloody-Chamakh!" to something a little more positive.

Personally I have more hope for the young Waterford striker, Sean Maguire (no, not the Eastenders actor) working his way into the first team.

    • It's about ensuring it's the medical facilities you are accessing, hence the sign-in actually in Tessa Jowell. And I think there are visual as well as camera checks, after all a number of people drive in and out of the car park to drop patients off. Clearly they are not parked up, so it's not relevant if they are fleetingly on camera. It's only those actually parked who need to identify themselves as patients.
    • Thanks CPR Dave for the link to Southwark's leaf cleaning schedule. Good to see that.   I think that what may have happened was the leaves weren't cleared during the scheduled week for Whateley Road, which was w/c 17 November.  Then they were cleared a couple of weeks ago instead. We have been here through all of autumn,  and there has been a steady build-up of leaves on this stretch since October.  At one point there was a deep layer to wade through. The photos I posted were from 17 December, and as you can see,  the leaves had been trampled and compressed into the ground. It looked a lot worse at times.   Lots of school kids from the primary school walk up and down this pavement.   In case this happens next year,  I have found a contact page about streets https://www.southwark.gov.uk/parking-streets-and-transport/contact-us-about-transport-and-roads - so I could ask them what their plans are.
    • Amrutha is excellent, unless you are died in the wool meat and two veg most will find the food to their taste and it certainly isn't a place that expects you to be a sandal wearing vegan. Recommend Matoon too, there are many great places in SE23, SE4 and SE26 if you get chance to get on a bus. Don't have takeaways very often and would only do this when they employ their own delivery people due to all the issues with the slave labour that is Deliveroo and the like (and numerous other issues).  Yes it is a different thread but I can't stop myself reminding people.
    • Hopefully we were just unlucky and it was a one off glitch.
