Back to the slog of the League...Week 18 Fixtures.

I reckon a few will be tempted with this week's Coupon Buster, Swansea to win at Everton...

Wasn't really expecting a result for Liverpool yesterday, but by the end I was disappointed they didn't get a draw. They were shocking in the first half though, and you can't give Man U a head start! Was good to see a bit of fight in them later on though, and Sturridge / Saurez look as though they will be able to play together...

Looking for some interesting discussion and banter, but all I see in the posts above were predictions. My son's primarly school run a fantasy football league if anyone is interested.


Right, I am now bored of taking the p out of your predictions competition, so wont mention it again, so back to proper football talk.


Interesting in the pricing structure and the talk of free coaches to away matches. A certain non London prem team do that as an occasional treat and have bused 2000+ with a fanfare that creates a nice carnival atmosphere. The same non London team has dropped ticket prices to a sensible ?15 for the FA Cup replay (compared to the ?26 at the first match, at the pride of West London (he says quoting the recent advertising, and stiffling a laugh)).


And to bring discussion to more local matters, Arsenal dropped the away fans tickets to ?26 for the recent match. OK there was still 5000 empty seats in the home areas, but hats off to them for more sensible charging. And to Fulham for the kids for a quid (and hang on for unpopular matches as you can buy tickets for ?15 from ticket master).

Back to usual league form then *sighs and hopes Malumbu doesn't mock in the playground after double geog.*


Putting Irons' gormless display down to 'one of those days', especially after the disappointment of van p's late goal the week before. Hope Potts doesn't take his error to heart too much - could see he was expecting goalkeeper to come and will learn from it. Still think team are short of fire-power.


On a related note - albeit a petty one - I wasn't too bothered by WH's crappy "putting the X into Xmas" slogan (with the X represented by crossed hammers) but am finding the continued use of "Moore than just a football club" sticks right in my throat.

      If you like very good quality South Asian food then Babur in Brockley is offering a well priced, for what it is, Christmas day menu with sensitively priced reductions for a more limited children's menu. They also have a compelling wine list and their specialist cocktails are phenomenal. Not traditional Christmas fare, but then that might be an additional recommendation.

      Dear families,   My name is Eleanor. I’ve worked in NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services for the past eight years, and I’m about to begin an Infant Observation course in preparation for psychotherapy training. I’m looking for a baby to observe as part of this training.   The observation involves me visiting a baby and their parent for one hour a week over two years, with the aim of deepening my understanding of early emotional and developmental processes. Taking part is a generous contribution to the training of future child psychotherapists — ultimately supporting the mental health of children and families.   Both of my own children were observed as babies, which I found to be a really positive experience. Having an observer gently witness my babies’ development helped me notice their weekly changes in a new way, and I came to appreciate the calm, consistent presence of a trained observer.       I rarely iron, so my massive ironing board is just taking up unnecessary space. Does anyone have one of those little ones that you can use on an ordinary table?
