In the wake of the uprising and violence of the past week, I found myself becoming quite depressed by the extreme reaction of the 'normal' people to these extraordinary events.

I am someone who likes to look for logical reasons for things and for workable solutions, so I think it is important to try understand the deeper causes of the unrest.

is very interseting and goes some way, in my opinion to explain some of the issues in this complex issue., so I thought I'd sdhare it with the good folk of ED.

But we are never going to agree with everything that is said are we..? Considering other people's opinions, in my humble opinion, is as valid as presenting them..

I liked his monopoly analogy.

Oh and the background music is very engaging too.. Quite a clever choice as it fits well with the content.

    • The hare krishna restaurant is called Govindas and still going strong in Soho Street, a different establishment to the one that used to be (still is?) in Hanway Street. I must go back to Govindas some time
    • Its that time of year again, past Christmas day and late delayed cards are turning up. How late are your cards arriving ?  Last year I had one delivered 4 weeks late. Can that be beaten this year ?
    • Sadly, a lot of businesses didn't invite reviews on the EDF at that time due to a number of "negative nellies" that would take delight in posting unfavourable comments, often despite never being to the business in question.  No matter how good the place was, some posters would find fault that wasn't there "don't lile the colour of the bidet set in the private bathroom, avocado 😅" Can hardly blame businesses at the time for not wanting reviews on here, thankfully that has mostly changed now.
    • Was that the Hare Krishna place? I can't remember exactly where it was (or maybe still is) but it was somewhere around Oxford Street.
