I started a thread about this a while ago and got some good responses:

I did Coder Dojo with my daughter recently in Victoria and it was good though alarmingly I found myself having to help her as it was less 'taught' than I anticipated, which meant we had to work out quite a lot ourselves (we were creating a website). So that was ... interesting, given my non-existent knowledge of coding. Still it was free and I'm sure we will go back - I'll be a bit more prepared next time!

I looked into Spark4Kids and it sounds good but it's eye-wateringly expensive. And I have now twice emailed Codeclub.org.uk as apparently they run one at Dulwich Hamlet but I have never heard back. If anyone knows anything about this club I'd be interested to hear about it, but I'm assuming it's now defunct.

Thanks Redjam and Norfolkvillas for your swift responses. She programs in the afternoon on my laptop but asks me questions and sadly I'm quite ill equipped. I need to look at it properly to help her. I will look into the workshops. She's very computer literate for her age so I'm keen to encourage her. Thanks x
There is a coding club at Peckham Library that my daughter attends on Tuesdays from 4pm to 6pm and is free. Unfortunately, the project is coming to an end soon but if there is interest they may run more classes again. If the location and time is convenient please PM me with your contact details and I can keep you informed.

    • This new party might do nothing more than serve Reform victory in the next election - there is no mood for a far-left party (as 2019 aptly demonstrated) and taking votes from Labour could be a nightmare for the whole country. But Corbyn has only cared about himself and his ideology - once a backbencher, always a backbencher.
    • The fragrant Nancy Birtwhistle advises this spray on site of urine/faeces to deter canines: 200ml water 50ml vinegar 30 drops peppermint extract or oil Put in spray bottle, use daily for a week.
    • Reading this sort of stuff - it's tiring. It's a weird focus on marginal English politics instead of the mainstream and instead of UK politics. How do you use 4 ex-Labour MPs getting elected an example of a supposed trend but ignore the election of 411 Labour MPs in the same election? How do you waffle on for several hundred words about the prospects of new left parties without mentioning what's been happening in this area for the last 20 years in Scotland and Wales?
    • This new movement seems great.  great ideas. But they’re just an opposition party they’re like a subsection of the Labour Party - so perfectly suited to Corbyn - his inspirational rhetoric can only be uttered in opposition.  Power would not suit him - that would require hard decisions that’s not his style, strength or skill
