Seems like East Dulwich station is closed every week-end nowadays. This is becoming somewhat annoying.

Does anyone know how long this is likely to go on for? I've had a look on National Rail and can't find anything.

Unless of course this means that whatever they were doing finished last week-end.... I hope in vain I suspect. :-(

It's been happening on and off literally for years. We get a period of consistent service, but then we're back to the familiar old routine of locked gates and rail replacement services.

Don't hold your breath for a permanent resolution any time soon.

If you can get to Peckham Rye or Denmark Hill, the trains to Victoria are still running most weekends (although this line is being axed at some point).

It seems to change all the time but at the moment they say that you won't be able to go direct to London Bridge but the Victoria service will remain (although down to 4 trains an hour.) This will probably all change (particularly bearing in mind the proximity of the hospital to Denmark Hill Station) but see here for tfl map of how it will all look next year.

It was never going to be axed. It's only the loop route that was going (Direct LB to Vic, which went through Denmark Hill)

Not for long.

It was open last week-end, (20/8 - 21/8) the first week-end I can remember it being open in a long while.

The annoying thing is there seems to be no advance warning when the station is closed, I usually find out just as I'm trying to go somewhere!

    • A stellar win for the Greens in Gorton and Denton, no doubt. But by-elections are funny beasts. Labour's strength traditionally has been in its ground game. Legions of canvassers over many years in many seats usually means that they are best placed to 'get out the vote' on election day. I can't quite believe that the Greens have enough data, or people, to wrest control of the council from Labour.
