I haven't had a vaginal delivery or tearing but I have had 2x c/s, one emergency and one planned so if you're interested in my experience I'd be happy to talk to you about it. Planned c/s was great, recovery okay but I get exhausted if I do too much (am almost 4wks pp) and am still bleeding heavily due to not being able to "just rest" as have a mad toddler. OP, I think I know who you are in "real life" and we spoke briefly about a planned c/s but definitely happy to go over it in detail, am not squeamish/ have no shame.

I will say that my mum had a 3c tear with my now 18y/o sister and had another 3rd degree tear 19mo later with my brother. Hm.

Hi , This really has started a long discussion and I am no longer feeling alone.Thank you everyone for all your comments. My worry at the moment really is that my first child came 3 weeks early ( still 8lb 5) and as I said before he came VERY quickly. I am thinking a planned c/s maybe the best option in many ways as I tore so badly but worry that I could labor early again. And I also have a Very active 2 year old and wont to be with him asap after baby and not in hospital

Think maybe I just need to stop worrying and chill out. Maybe planned c/s and if I labor early I do the best I can . Will still try all the various tips mentioned above.

What will be will be!x

I was worried about spending too much time away from my toddler too but I left him at 6am Monday morningand was back at home with him by 1:30pm Tuesday pm (was in kings for 26hrs!) I pushed for an early dishcharge but even o I hadn't would only have been in for two nights anyway.

Ironically I also hold negative thoughts about St Thomas' aftercare. Fortunately I'm now with Brieley midwifes for our 2nd baby due in 2 weeks and I'm adamant I'm going to achieve the home birth I wanted first time round.

I believe the most important thing is to address your fears with some sort of help (whichever method may work for you) as the more relaxed you are able to remain, the better your body will cope and respond to what is the most natural thing for women to do and what we have been doing for thousands of years.

Natal Hypnobirthing is said to help with anxieties that women have regarding labour?...

Good luck and I'm sure whatever decision you make, it'll be the right one for you.

    • My car was stolen a few months back from my driveway but I had a tracker and found it in a private car park in Lavender Hill close to the police station. I was lucky. The thieves hide it up against that eventuality. High spec cars are targeted I'm afraid. The way it was stolen required the thieves to wire in their own computer accessing a front light (which had had a metal sheet welded across which they prised off). They had searched for a tracker but not found it. They also had to cut away a steering wheel lock. They had to come well tooled up and briefed to do what they did. Beating them off is non trivial. As I said, them not finding my tracker was just lucky.
    • Been with The Gardens now for around 30 years and very rarely do I have a problem. I went in to collect a form and mentioned that my leg was hurting and hot- was seen immediately by the Practice nurse who then arranged an appointment on the Saturday with the Extra care service at TJ Centre where I saw a doctor, who then sent me off to Kings for further tests.. I recently booked a flu jab but appointment is in 2 weeks.
    • Have used Milk and More for years. When the price went up we cancelled a couple of pints but we still have 8 pints a week. If we are expecting family etc we buy from Sainsburys to top up. We kept on with M & M as if weather bad we could order extra stuff from them to save us a trip to Sainsburys Local. Also gives employment to our milkman.
    • Hi there, Our Lexus NX300H, (reg RF18BWO) was stolen off our driveway last night, Monday 27th October. It was there at 9pm, and had gone by 7am. If anyone has any footage on their doorbell or Ring, that would be super helpful. We have asked some neighbours and reported to the police etc.  Most upsettingly, there was a box of old family videos in the car boot, in an old Sainsburys box (photo attached). If anyone sees these dumped at the side of the road, please contact me asap! They are priceless videos that my deceased grandparents took. Thank you for any info, Jojo
