Today is World Kindness Day, a day celebrated around the world with random acts of kindness and good deeds.

At the Red Box Project, we run on kindness. And we know the difference tiny acts can make to people?s lives.

Like that packet of pads someone kindly donated in an office collection a couple of weeks ago. That was kindly packaged up and sent to us by their Marketing Manager. That was bagged up last night by one of our coordinators and today is being delivered to a big south east London secondary school. Where one day soon, a girl will start her period in the middle of a lesson. With nothing in her bag, she?ll go and ask for the Red Box and she will find that pack of pads.

And because of that tiny moment of kindness in a central London office a few weeks ago, she?ll carry on with her day. Thinking about what she?s learning. Doing sports. Joining in with her friends. Preparing for her future.

That?s the power of kindness.

If you?d like to celebrate World Kindness Day with us today, you can...

❤️ Drop a packet of period products into your local donation box. You can find your nearest listed here https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?

❤️ Donate ?5 to us so we can buy some fresh underwear to put in our boxes https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfund?/redboxprojectselondon1

See how good it feels ❤️

It?s official: the John Lewis advert is out. Christmas is coming!

?

We want all of our young people to have a great Christmas. To help make sure their period doesn?t get in the way, we?ll be working with all of our schools to ensure they have a top up of donations before the break and can send girls off with what they need for the whole holiday.

?

So when you?re planning your Christmas jumper, your Christmas PJs and your Christmas Eve movie, please think about putting a pack of pads or even some special Christmas pants into one of our donation boxes. Or why not consider a reverse advent calendar or Christmas office collection to support local schools? We can send you posters so you have everything you need.

?

Your support will make a great difference to young people in south east London.

    • I have been training at the hub for just over one year. I really enjoy the variety of training offered and the quality of the instructors. Very effective group classes and enjoyable in the open air! A very welcoming place which makes a fitmess journey pleasant!
    • We're are just about to get ready for sale, a 2 bed flat, very close to Peckham Rye park.  It has been rented out for sometime, so is in need of some TLC for it to look its best, before it goes on the market.  Would be interested to know others thoughts on whether its best to just have the place painted completely white throughout, probably with new grey flooring, or if it might be more appealing to add some colour/interest (nothing too drastic), perhaps something alittle 'warmer', with some nice (potentially dark) feature walls maybe? Wondered whether the days of going completely white might now have passed ..... It might be useful to know that its not a period or conversion property, but rather a flat in a private purpose built block.
    • It's a Microsoft . pub file, and it does open OK, but that's a discontinued program which used to be part of the full Office suite. I've got an old machine with old software and it's still on that.  This is a .pdf version (I hope)April 2025 Dulwich Hill Newsletter.pdf
    • Even with Acrobat pro - it does not open even though it is an acrobat doc.   Error: "Adobe Acrobat could not open 'April 2025 Dulwich Hill Newsletter.pub' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded). To create an Adobe PDF document, go to the source application. Then choose Save as Adobe PDF from the PDF dropdown in the Print dialog."
