MissWiggy
I thought I would post this as a heads up for all locals. We were burgled in the early hours of this morning. Luckily we both woke up and my husband managed to keep him in a room until the police arrived. It seems he "slipped" the front Yale lock whilst his mate kept a lookout - unfortunately the lookout ran off as soon as he got whiff that their plan wasn't quite going as intended...Anyway, a heads up to everyone to please double lock / bolt / deadlock all windows and doors, even front ones.Stay safe all. se22cat
Great result, but you both must be pretty shook up.Hope the good weather comes back so you can have a nice day out and begin to put it behind you. MissWiggy
Thank you se22cat - yes a horrible experience but at least we know they've got him.Just frustrating to think that if we'd deadlocked the front door it wouldn't have happened hence the shout out - it's so easy to get complacent Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/192717-burglary-on-toastrack-se5-2223-may-2018/#findComment-1248694 Share on other sites
flocker spotter
I would not have a normal Yale setup ever again - once you have a deadlock system, you realise how shoddy most lock setups really are Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/192717-burglary-on-toastrack-se5-2223-may-2018/#findComment-1248696 Share on other sites
