I think e-dealer that perhaps abuse was resorted to out of sheer amazement at you taking pics of a "no dogs" sign and a lab trotting about, seemingly doing no harm whatsoever.

I entirely agree that dogs should not be allowed to damage that area in any way; the planting is really beautiful and well done, and so it makes sense to have the sign there. But lets not go overboard - the dogs weren't harming any of the displays were they?

Also, the chap that you pulled up for having his dog on his lead, am I right in thinking that he was walking his dog, on a very dog-friendly, dog-centric day, on a path, next to a flowerbed with a no dogs sign, and you thought it necessary to give him a lecture?

No ON a flower bed with a no dog sign. Pictures supplied as some doubted the sign existed. And I didn't lecture anyone. Just pointed out that there was a sign saying no dogs. And he left the bed so all in all a happy encounter with a dog owner.
I am a dog owner and regularly walk my dog in peckham rye park. There are areas that simply say dogs must remain on a lead. The oval garden refered to hear is out of bounds for humans as well otherwise thare would not be a fence. Some people have no respect, its that simple. Dogs can't read and its owners resposibility to manage their own dog.

I was there too on Sat opp. the garden and the group with my dogs letting them into the pond to get cool. Them having been pulled away from sausages/floating dalmations/getting told off for knocking over beer/not winning prizes/in and out of dog-ring in 25 degree heat and not allowed to eat their and others' goodies.

Aforementioned group had a really over-friendly dog who kept knicking our ball, and humping my little dog. But hey! They're dogs. When the sun is out, let play commence!! No-one was hurt. After a while, 2 more black labs came to join in. Loads of fun and laughter. Not sure when anti-dog 'investigative' photographer turned up. Thankfully, we'd gone.

So there we have it. Just proves that some dog owners are in that elite group who think that rules and laws dont apply to them.Just to everyone else. Like Looting Rioters, Speeding Offenders and Drink Drivers. I guess we have to get used to the elite!

Looting Rioters, Speeding Offenders and Drink Drivers injure people and can cause death...Joey the Jack Russell running about and trampling on the dandelions does not..

Er I think some Dogs do cause death. Like Rioters and Drinkers and Speeders they often don't cause death. But thats not why the the Rules / Lawa are there. A lot of Money was spent on tidying up the Park and we should just respect the parts that are 'protected' by signs

Ok what about people who illegally park , Pee in the Street, Blow their horns at 4 am. All antisocial all breaking rules and NOT killing anyone. Not paying fares on trains no TV license? are they ok 'just having a bit of fun'? exempt' Which rules/ laws is it ok to break? I'd just like the Dog owners who think it IS ok to break laws to tell me which ones it is ok to break.

I used to Like to Smoke with my Pint in the Pub - Can I do that? (Should I restart smoking!)

Id like to say Funnily enough - but I wont its not fully just found this - Dogs DO attack kids in Parks

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1263932/Girl-4-attacked-police-dog-plays-park.html

But I don't believe in banning dogs. But I'd like dog owners to show some respect for the park and other people by sticking to the rules - its not that hard is it?

Maybe the Dog License should be brought back so there was some sort of sanction of anti social dog owners.

    • Thank you for the detailed advise @trinidad It is definitely damage we are concerned about. I don’t think Evri would agree to pay the bill to fix our gate or letter box if they were to be damaged as a result of their delivery drivers helper. Our doorbell can be heard from outside when rung so we don’t quite believe the aggressive simultaneous door/letter box banging is necessary. It can be quite a shock it is done very aggressively.  I’ll definitely action the steps you’ve kindly provided along with a phone call tomorrow. I do sympathise with the role drivers have and how busy they are, which is why we tried communicating directly with her but sadly we haven’t succeeded
    • What outcome would you like? Disciplinary action? Not to have the driver back? Retraining? I know there is alot of pressure on drivers to deliver within a set day. if he slams the gate, is it evidence he is causing damage, or is the noise a irritant to yourself? You could put a sign up or buy a signing asking to close the gate gentle???? can you hear the door bell from the door? he might be ringing, not hearing and therefore knocking. In trhe notes section of the be livery page, there is a note section, although there is not 100 per cent these notes would be read as these drivers are constantly rushing.  I did a google search for you, i found this and you can try the envri website Contact Us | Evri   To complain to Evri, you can follow these steps: Contact Customer Service: Call Evri's customer service at 0330 808 5456 for assistance with your complaint.    1 Write a Letter: Address your complaint to Capitol House, 1 Capitol Close, Morley, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS27 0WH.    1 Use the Official Website: Visit the Evri complaints page on their official website for detailed instructions on how to submit a complaint.    2 Email or Call for Specific Issues: For issues like missing or damaged parcels, you can email or call 0800 988 8888, which is free to call.    1 These methods will help you effectively communicate your concerns to Evri.   My driver is called anthony, he is brilliant to be honest. I cant fault him.
    • When I have more time and energy, I will look up the actual number of votes cast for each party in that election, rather than the number of seats won. I'm interested to see that you apparently  think that  Boris Johnson did a good job of "leading the country through Covid." Is your memory really that short? I won't stoop to calling Johnson and his cronies names in the way that you seem to think is appropriate for left wing politicians. At least the left wing politicians have some semblance of morals and a concern for people who aren't in some over privileged inner circle and/or raking in money for themselves on the back of an epidemic. I'm not going to open a can of worms on here  by commenting on the disgraceful so called "purge".
    • Can’t imagine what it must be like you have your doorbell rung harshly.
