  2. I have found 2 yale keys - 1 square, 1 regular - on a plain keyring in the park. Message me if you lost them.
  3. "Decent music, like trance or techno...." This is a joke post, surely
  4. It was on Breakfast radio news this morning as Kingswood estate
  5. This was rolled out in Croydon weeks ago and is causing absolute traffic mayhem - all under the guise of Covid/healthy streets etc. All it is doing is forcing ALL traffic onto the main roads with the addition of the smaller bus routes needing re-routing. The people who speed and use quieter streets as rat runs ignore one-way signs and will always do what they want anyway. This is not been thought out at all. Not good for ambulances or delivery drivers either
  6. Yes Clutterqueen. It does make me wonder why, when so many schools are open and teachers have been continually working their @?$%* off throughout, parents continue to keep them home - especially if they don't mind them being around others in parks etc.
  7. A lot to be said for NZ altogether at the moment. Great sign!
  8. hi there - do you cover areas other than SE22?
  9. Totally agree with Treehugger. And being 'picky' is peoples' prerogative; not everyone has to love it :)
  10. Sorry to hear this, Sue. It's an (unavoidable) pain in the arse at the best of times. But having to put up with blaring radios is just obnoxious; even worse when all you want to do is rest. Can't they wear headphones? Ignore the delightful Springer and all the other trolls. Clearly got nothing better to do... I hope you feel better soon.
  11. Also the OP says, 'alone and not with any family group' (or words to that effect). Could she not have asked the other parents / carers their opinion on the situation? I agree with jimlad48. If you feel this strongly about a situation that is your absolute right as a mother's protective intuition, but the way it's been handled is wrong IMO.
  12. well all the cameras in and around ED and Sydenham 20mph zones are working - So anyone going at 24mph at a camera will get caught out.
  13. I wonder how many people consult the southwark website, before taking a walk to the park, to check if they're breaking any bye-laws.
  14. Sally Eva Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > The school on Colyton Road is a secondary school. > Secondary school children get free travel passes. what's free travel got to do with cars parked along Colyton Rd? Also, plenty of children get collected by their parents in cars.
  15. Even calling the police seems a bit far-fetched. Why not go to the office and report it if you really had concerns. As fr as the bye-law goes, I was unaware of that; is it on a sign somewhere?
  16. To avoid paying ?20 per week just to visit PR, people will park all along the residential roads circling the park. Colyton road is already a nightmare at school-run times. Then they will introduce CPZ / yellow lines.
  17. I'm getting mine from here: londonchristmastreerental.com Delivered in a pot, and collected in the New Year and returned to the farm to be cared for for next year.
  18. Well done KK - def name and shame. You don't take your dog out for a walk and 'forget' poobags. Pisses me right off and I've had many a confrontation in many different places.
  19. Just need to find a decent one now. The ones on Amazon get awful reviews
  20. I always make tea in a pot it I have time. I meant it's a faff the rinsing and collecting of the tealeaves out the pot and into the compost. Going to buy a metal tea filter. Thanks, Penguin :)
  21. Agree with Frankito: DF-baiting is boring and off-topic
  22. Oh no! Yorkshire tea - who knew? I've been happily bunging them on my compost for ages. Loose tea is such a faff but better than plastic I guess.
  23. Tom King - I think I found him on here with loads of recommendations. I've used him a few times and he's really good. 07809 675879
