Air bnb is it trusted?

I was thinking of renting out house on air bnb for a week while we go on holiday, what experiences have other people had and can I trust this platform. Thanks.

Yes, I use it to rent out my annex - and have done so for the past few years - it's fine.

All I know is that I?ve spoken to many who use them all the time but the 3 or 4 times we?ve tried to book with them we?ve been letdown at the last minute. Friends with a baby were late down with 36 hours? notice last weekend.

I have no idea what they?re like as a ?landlord? but they seem to be pretty flaky if you?re a ?tenant?.

I have a little worry to come back from palm trees to my house burnt down or a ruined house. But I think we will overcome the anxiety and give it a try.

Good to see that someone is using air B&B as it was designed. It quickly got over run by by the let, and even rent to rent. We've been fine using it. You hear the scare stories but you always get them. Depends on (a) safeguards that are in place (b) how risk averse you are.

I've had no problems, it's all been completely normal.
