Well what would you have done in his position?

1. Coalition with labour - no majority plus they didn't want to do it

2. Do nothing, let Tories take power on their own, vote against anything they didn't like?

3. Do what he did.

If he had gone for 1 or 2, we may well have had another election by now. Probably resulting in a Tory government?? Is that better?

but you're quite right - the Lib Dems took the responsible course. Nick Clegg may pay the price for that decision at the next election, but history will judge him well.

I have to admit I don?t find them credible anymore, maybe this was there chance to shine they blew it. As a coalition you have to compromises your party policies, I understand that but from where I am sitting it looks like they have let the Tories walk, run, stamp, all over them like an old carpet and they just keep saying more.
