Yes sorry, certainly not much to go on, headline worthy of the bin. But dubious in worth, oh no. Should the little turncoat fall, should he and his gaudy spanish galleon sail off into the night, with its damp cannons, long empty nest of crows and a plank that his own crew were forced unwillingly to walk off, then we shall breathe a sigh of relief and shed but one tear. A tear for the figure head strapped to the front, forced into a mermaids tail, sprayed gold and gagged with a bankers jock strap. Ah we shall sigh "surely vince deserved a better end"

Well what would you have done in his position?

1. Coalition with labour - no majority plus they didn't want to do it

2. Do nothing, let Tories take power on their own, vote against anything they didn't like?

3. Do what he did.

If he had gone for 1 or 2, we may well have had another election by now. Probably resulting in a Tory government?? Is that better?

I have to admit I don?t find them credible anymore, maybe this was there chance to shine they blew it. As a coalition you have to compromises your party policies, I understand that but from where I am sitting it looks like they have let the Tories walk, run, stamp, all over them like an old carpet and they just keep saying more.

David Cameron is Long John Silver Nick Clegg is just the parrots on his shoulder that squawks ever so often.

    • I suspect it is really difficult as stuff gets ground in and that is the problem. My own view is the event should be moved to a more suitable site. It is fairly clear they want to expand, I think that is the biggest problem, the risk of the event getting extended or other event organisers getting in on the action. It is great that the barriers are down and the park can be fully enjoyed again. The damage to grass does not seem as bad this year; I suspect that is because there has been much less rainfall.
    • We used Tom King recently to repair two light switches and have used him in the past for moving a plug socket. He's a lovely guy as well as the utmost professional. Very reliable and helpful, talks you through what's needed with a repair and charges reasonable rates, especially as some electricians charge the earth in this area now. Highly recommended!
    • Does anybody have a wildlife night vision camera in good working order which they no longer use? If you have one, please message me, thanks x
