Memsaab or Jaflong

For many years the old Jaflong (Lordship Lane) was amongst my favourite East Dulwich Curry House.

A couple of years back they stopped selling alcohol although you could take your own Beer and Wine at no Corkage charge.

Jaflong (Lordship Lane)then closed down and relocated on East Dulwich Road as Jaflong Tandoori.

They still not serve alcohol but you can still take your own with no charge.

Memsaab is now my first choice for local Indian/Bangladeshi food.

The Food, Service, Ambience is excellent.

I was at Jaflong Tandoori last night and the food was Good but it's the little things

like having no Food Warmers to keep my meal warm which gets me. Not lighting my candle. (I like candles)

I was the only Diner. On the last 4-5 occasions I have been to Jaflong Tandoori I have been the only Diner.

So yo will have no trouble getting seated.

Overall, I would Recommend Meemsaab. Drinks are a little expensive, but in keeping with other eateries

on Lordship Lane.

If you don't drink alcohol or on a tight budget, then Jaflong may be a better option for you and your guests.

Dulwich Tandoori is excellent, but often full.

Thanks everyone. We went to Memsaab in the end. The food was really, REALLY good.

Service was super attentive -- almost too attentive -- and unfortunately I felt they

kept trying to upsell. It didn't really spoil our experience but nevertheless next

time I will order take away from Memsaab as I'd rather eat their delicious food at home!
