Tom Buchanan, a floor fitting maestro

I recently had Tom fitting a Dinesen solid oak floor, old school bespoke floor fitting where skills matter. I am very pleased circumstances lead me to him.

I found Tom?s name on the forum where he had received excellent reviews for his work, but arguably those jobs had not challenged Tom to his full potential. As Tom put it on his website: ?Wood Floorers specialise in fitting high end, bespoke hardwood floors?, and judging from his work, this is exactly what he was born to do.

Tom has an excellent eye for details and takes ownership of the job, in fact he takes ownership beyond his job, which I very rarely come across. So not only was he concerned about delivering his part of a bigger picture to a very high standard, he went beyond his job to compensate for mistakes made by others to secure the best possible overall job. If only more tradesmen behaved like this renovation projects would be far less stressful.

Tom is also a nice chap and very easy to have in your house. Arguably he has bit of a professional ego, as in he knows best. I am happy to say that I have been unable to prove him wrong, so if anybody are looking for a top quality floor fitter, I would at least invite Tom around for a chat. Have a look at his webpage: http://www.woodfloorers.com/ or feel free to PM me if you want to see pictures of his work.

    • Yup. At best I have people who detest Trump shrugging and saying something like “what ya gonna do?” Like that is any kind of answer what we gonna do is condemn, and watch out for same happening here - and watch out for all the handmaidens who would allow this to happen.  Apologists for Farage, Jenrick etc
    • There are plenty of Jewish people on these marches, who have every right to stand up and say not in our name. A Jewish bloc attends every single one: https://jfjfp.com/voices/jjp-at-the-gaza-demonstrations/ Jewish peoples lives are being made less safe by this war, as we recently saw in Manchester and in the clear increase in antisemitism. They want to see Peace, and this will only happen with justice for the Palestinians. Most have - within living memory - members of their families who have been murdered by an authoritarian regime. They know what they are seeing and why they are marching. Calling going on march 'indulging in Jew hatred' is just ridiculous. You've clearly never been on one. Engage your critical faculties and think about why these marches are being smeared, rather than spouting what the right wing press and home secretary tell you.
    • Thank you for posting that. Chilling.
    • It amazes me how little outrage there actually is. The US is very clearly, and very quickly falling into autocracy. And as noted above, there are an alarming number in the UK who appear to support the direction the US is taking.
