Term time nanny/nanny share Mon-Wed Herne Hill/North Dulwich

Hello

We are looking for a term time only nanny/nanny share/childminder arrangement for our nearly 1 year old son from September. We live in Herne Hill and I work short hours Monday - Wednesday, fitting in between school drop offs and pick ups for older children. I'm hoping we might find a local family to share childcare with. If you have school age children and your nanny would like another child to look after during school hours, could we fit with you maybe?

I will be dropping our older children at schools in Dulwich village and Herne Hill so anywhere between those could work well. Our son is a happy, easy character who eats and sleeps well. He's the youngest of three so loves company and is very used to being around older children.

Please get in touch if you think we might be able to fit in with your childcare arrangement or if you know of or are a nanny/childminder who might be interested.

Thanks!

Catherine

Hi Catherine,

I'm currently looking for childcare for my daughter Mon-Wed beginning in September (she'll be 10 months old at the time). Would you be interested in finding a nanny for a nanny share together? What hours specifically would you need? We live in West Dulwich, near Rosendale Primary.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Emily

    • I have written and complained about the 'consultation'. The notice given was not adequate. Placing the in person consultation in Peckham means that it was not really accessible to many people - e.g.older people, some women and people with some disabilities that might not want to travel some distance to this venue on a cold dark evening. They effectively excluded many local residents. The offer of one online consultation is also not adequate and would not be accessible to people without digital access or who work during the day.  I think that this breaches the council's duties under the Equality Act. I did get a helpful response from Jon Hartley, Dulwich Hill. Sadly he has not been selected to stand in next year's elections. Our other councillor, Maggie Browning, is on maternity leave and there appears to be no cover. I also emailed the Leader and Ellie Reeves. Happy to support an online petition. I assume that it needs to be on the Southwark website.
    • I think a Greggs would be great - I bet it would be really busy, but would need tinted windows to protect the locals from being spotted. It could be ED's dirty little secret.
    • KFC and Mcdonalds are going to split the floorspace. Greggs will have a sausage roll kiosk in the back.
    • Thanks to those who came to the November drinks! Some interesting conversations, as always! We may give the December drinks a miss (as it's such a busy time for socialising and people have other things on)  and restart in January. If anyone has any strong feelings one way or another, please let us know as we have to book the space!
