Part-time co-minder or childmiding assistant wanted

Recommended Posts

I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder who runs a Group Setting with two other Childminding Assistant. My property in SE22 0RX which and is a couple of minutes walk from two bus stops (63 opposite the property and P12 on Brenchley Gardens). I have a large back garden and fully equipped log cabin with an extensive range of resources. Indoor facilities include a large Conservatory and a separate cot room. Peckham Rye Park is 10 minutes walk away.

My numbers are going up and so I have a part-time staff vacancy for two days per week ? Monday and Friday - which could be filled by either another Childminder or a Childminding Assistant. The hours are 08.00-6.00 pm (with paid lunch break) and two weeks paid leave (pro-rata) across Christmas/New Year and Easter when we are closed. Hourly rate will be determined by experience of applicant. Only apply through the forum if you already have experience of working with children in an Early Years setting.

    • I've not engaged in this debate so far but you can't be more wrong. In the UK our own language is English, there is a small minority who can rightly claim their language is Welsh or Gaelic, and a couple Cornish. British Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Christians, atheists etc will usually speak British, even if not their first language.  The vast majority will be able to understand English.   A small percentage, less than two percent, of people living in the UK have little or no English (census data).  It is right that in certain situations eg schools there is signage and information in other languages, providing public information. It is wrong that a political party do this, particularly one who came across as opportunist on this occasion. There is an interesting conversation about British expats living, for example, on the continent, where I expect huge swathes who can hardly say a word of French, Spanish etc.
