womanofdulwich
I wondered how to find out the regulations on plumbing work in terms of insulation? The plumber at my dads house in Norfolk has done some new pipework in the cellar and the pipes aren't insulated. I don't know if this is correct. I didnt specify - anyone know how to check if there is a regulation for this? Thanks Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/198633-plumbing-regulation-advice-sought/ Share on other sites
rendelharris
Not sure there are any regs - none I know of, anyway - mandating insulation but if the cellar is unheated, especially in Norfolk, it would definitely be best to have the pipes insulated or there will be freezing and flood risks in the winter. Fortunately, if the builder can't/won't do it, it's a very simple DIY job.
