Alan - I love cabbage - a veg hated by many due to horrible school cabbage. But cooked by the capable...fantastic!

Alan - I love cabbage too. Brussels sprouts are even better.

Current fave veggie recipe is roasted butternut squash gnocci. Easy peasy to make from scratch and forget the traditional sage butter, chilli butter is even better. One meat-free day per week and you can't go wrong with this yummy autumnal dish (hope Tom is taking note).

Terre a Terre is the best veggie restaurant in Brighton I know - not cheap but definitely worth it :)

If you like cabbage, try the 'home-style cabbage' at Silk Road, Camberwell.

Also the 'home style aubergine'.

However, there will be other diners eating the non-veggie kind of food.

I'm not 100% convinced the cabbage dishes at Silk Road don't have SOME element of pig in them. That's just my impression, not an allegation btw - but it's worth checking with them

Either way, it's fantastic stuff
