Heh, it's impossible to argue with your wife when she tells you what you need to buy. And even when you point out that an item was never used, you're a heartless git who shouldn't even consider cost implications when it comes to the kids.

I thought we'd done it all, and was determined we'd manage without a bloody double buggy... Of course I was told otherwise, and we're now the shame faced owners of a P&T!

Oh I love this, it's so true!

I've definitely had to persuade Mr.Hellosailor into a few 'essentials' that were oh so not essential!

though there has been very little we've bought that we haven't found useful, even if it did seem overkill at the time.

Still cannot believe that these exist though - a step too far methinks!

Oh, that's hilarious! My mother made me some as a joke when no.1 was tiny, by cutting and gluing cotton wool pads. Can't believe people actually buy them... can you imagine their being pitched on Fragon's Den? "So one day my son peed in my eye, and I thought -"

    • When did this whole “elect a govt and then change leaders as we see fit “ notion take hold ? it didn’t help the Tories and it won’t help Labour  (and why do people think they can change leaders, call new elections on a whim, but NEVER EVER talk about changing Brexit)  I dont think starmer is doing a good job. But he was elected. And the volatile electorate wanting short term fixes are part of the reason behind his ultra-cautiousness  Complaining about govt and suggesting change of direction seem fine to me. Demanding a change of leader not so much  that being said, if there was some Labour implosion and someone like Burgon was in some mad scenario made leader, then I think the electorate should be entitled to a general election. Just as it should have happened when Johnson was replaced
    • Personally, I would like to see labour do something positive for the country, unfortunately under Starmer and Reeves the opposite is true. Change of leadership.is now required, not a general election at this stage but if Starmer and Reeves stay in post then the May local elections will give Reform more power.  Now is the time for change and damage limitation , not after May when large number of reform local councillors will be voted in as a protest against this Government.
