Local Garage - Brake discs and pads

I've just been quoted the ridiculous price of ?500 to replace the front pads and discs on my Audi A4. Does anyone have a recommendations of a decent local garage that are somewhat more reasonably priced?

Dells Autos just off LL seem really good - they have serviced our Audi A3 for the last couple of years and are very straightforward and professional.

?500 is probably dealer pricing with audi gear i think - so depends whether you value that

you should be able to get pattern parts at a decent local garage( Turners for eg ) for a little bit less - some local garages use decent OE level supplied stuff, others use terrible turkish made stuff that will need replaced within a year- ask about the quality parts they would be supplying

I can highly recommend Don Simpson, a locally based mobile mechanic.

You will get voicemail (as he's out and about during the day) but he always phones back once he is home. He does have a mobile but I don't think he wants the number generally publicised (I will PM it if you want it).

Don is reliable, efficient and very reasonably priced, in my experience. And a lovely guy as well.
