After-school childcare needed

Now that my wife has started a new teaching job, we are looking for someone to collect our children from school, cook dinner and supervise some homework.

Hours would be c. 3pm to 6pm Monday to Friday term-time only (34 weeks a year). There will also be some optional hours on some evenings to cover school events, and also some weekends. We will pay well for the right person.

We have three children, one of which (aged 11) will make his own way home and the other two (aged 8 and 6) will need collecting from school, sometimes on foot and sometimes by car as school is about 2 miles away. The kids also sometimes need taking to and from swimming / cubs etc locally.

We need someone enthusiastic, capable and with a sense of humour but childcare qualifications are not essential.
