Recommended Posts

We are looking for an enthusiastic nanny to work on Mondays and Fridays. The role will predominantly involve looking after our 7 month old baby but you would also pick up our 4 year old from pre-school, bring him home and give him tea. Our baby is happy and bubbly, and in a good sleeping routine, and the 4 year old has been happily at nursery for a number of years.

In the first instance, the position would run from October to January, with potential to continue for longer.

We will be looking for a full time nanny to start on January and are open to this being the same or a different person.

Hours would be 7.30 - 6.30. Pay will be dependent on experience but will be competitive.

Essential:

Experience with babies under 12 months.

Ofsted registered.

Up to date DBS check.

Punctual and reliable.

Desirable:

Experience with weaning.

First aid trained.

Familiar with the East Dulwich area.

    • Do you know who organised and ran it? Because it must have been quite a lot of work. Who kept track of the credits? What safeguards were they? Was there a lower age limit eg over 18? Was insurance needed? ID? Who checked it? What was the situation if somebody was injured while working in your house or garden? What if someone broke or stole something? What if someone in your house was molested or attacked? What if you weren't happy with the standard of work? Sorry to be gloomy, but whilst this sounds a great idea in theory, in common with many people I know I've had several  bad experiences with supposedly professional tradespeople, let alone someone who wasn't doing it for a living.
