Just a heads up for people in the area, attempted moped theft. Two men armed with machete and knife attempted theft of moped on Crystal Palace road All in broad daylight. Victim threatened and ran at with zombie machete, Witnessed by a number of people, police in attendance. Be careful if you?re a bike owner. No one injured and police currently patrolling for the scum.

Is this the same one that ended up on Rodwell road? (I assume there were not two separate incidents but unfortunately I could be wrong). I saw the end of it and thankfully the man seemed ok - physically at least. Quite a few bystanders caught in on camera - if only that were enough to catch them. Also very concerning it happened close to local primary very near pick up time. Very frightening.

I saw this the this they attempted to steal a builders bike he came out of the house screaming and a hammer in his hand

They turned on him with a what looked like a machete and was screaming call the police, very upsetting these guys are so brazen in broad daylight and so near to Hebert school when the kids are coming out

    • The frequency of fireworks seems to be increasing. If revellers selected the low noise variety that would help, but the trend seems to be the louder the better. I do not think sensitivity to stimuli is the same as timidity. Unexpected, extremely loud bangs and unusual noises will startle most of us. Humans, unlike other animals, have the luxury of knowing what fireworks are and what the noise represents. Some animals do learn to cope but many do not. It could be their hearing is not as sensitive. We should not forget that many animals, including cats and dogs have hearing that is much more developed than ours.
