KidKruger
maybe the way / method / program you're viewing the documents through has changed ?sometimes people attach Word docs (ie. with pictures insterted) to the adverts on this forum and when you open them they look like that. Loz
Oh, well deduced David.Alice - you've inadvertently turned on 'show paragraph marks'. If you are using Word 2007, on the 'Home' tab in the 'paragraph' section there should be a button that looks just like that backwards 'P'. Click it and they should all disappear. David A
I think they're non-printing characters, just paragraph markers. If there's a button on the command bar with the same symbol on it or one that says 'show', hit that and it should get rid of them. I'm on a Mac, so things may be a little different. The Minkey
Yes it sounds like Show Formatting is turned on (at least I think that's what it's called), as David says look for that symbol on the command bar, clicking it should turn it off.
