Disappearing lampposts!?

We noticed this morning that the lamppost that used to be outside our flat has been removed! Does anybody know why this might have been done? (Not complaining! Just curious...)

Crystal palace road around Heber area has seemed really dark lately and me and my daughter both took a tumble this evening when I went down on my ankle in a tree planter area. Am now wearing an ankle support and hoping overnight rest will fix it. I didn't notice the edge it was so dark grumble grumble.
