emc
HelloI expect some of you may have seen a story in today's papers about a restaurant in Croydon (Cosmos) that's charging parents ?3 a child to come into the restaurant even if they're just babies and not eating anything and not taking up a chair as sitting on mum or dad's knee etc.http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2065284/Mother-charged-3-baby-Britains-largest-restaurant.htmlJust wondered if anyone out there knew of any other restaurants that employ a similar policy? Many thanks Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/20662-kids-charged-3-in-restaurant-even-if-not-eating/ Share on other sites
HOMum
Actually we have been there just the once recently with my then 15 month old and were charged ?2. She had her own highchair, ate some rice, grilled chicken and sweetcorn and absolutely demolished a big fruit bowl of melon and grapes, we even took some of the grapes with us for the rest of our shopping trip! So as you can imagine we thought ?2 was very reasonable. HOMum
Just to add- I am not saying that having read the story, the restaurant should charge babies still being breastfed (!!!) just that that is one very bad experience made very dramatic and I'm sure plenty of families left as happy as we did.
